Bayshore Hospital Offers Tour of New Center for Wound Healing

401

HOLMDEL – The Center for Wound Healing at Bayshore Community Hospital is launching a video tour of the new center, focusing on the many aspects of wound care available to the community.
Asaad Samra, M.D., medical director of the Center for Wound Healing, guides viewers through the center, providing a sneak peek of the facilities while also explaining the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) and the multiple forms of treatment that take place there.
The new center opened in August in a larger, state-of-the-art environment that provides patients with more privacy and comfort than ever before.  The multidisciplinary panel of physicians includes general surgery, vascular surgery, plastic surgery, and podiatry.
A chronic or nonhealing wound is a sore or wound that has not healed from conventional treatments in three to four weeks, and if left untreated, can lead to serious health complications.
