RED BANK – State Sen. Jennifer Beck, R-Monmouth, was named the “Woman of the Year” by the State Troopers’ Coalition, a subsidiary of the National Police Defense Foundation (NPDF).
The NPDF is a nonprofit organization that provides important medical and legal support services to the law enforcement community, as well as several programs involving public safety and child safety programs.
Past recipients of the award include Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno, state Sen. Gerald Cardinale and Congressman Bill Pascrell.
“I was honored to receive this prestigious award,” Beck said. “I have nothing but the utmost respect and appreciation for our men and women working in law enforcement. Every day they put themselves in potential danger to keep our communities safe.
“I look forward to continuing to work with the law enforcement community and ensuring they receive the recognition they deserve. The NPDF is doing important work ensuring that police officers are offered services to which they might not otherwise have access.”
