LINCROFT —  Bring some snacks, pull up a chair and become an Armchair Traveler this winter with the Monmouth County Park System.  Held on Thursday evenings throughout the winter at the Thompson Park Visitor Center, Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, this lecture series brings various outdoor adventures indoors through dynamic presentations.  The schedule is as follows:
 
A Grand Adventure on Thursday, January 19 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. 
Join our resident waterman as he shares photos and tells his tale of a 24-day rafting adventure on the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon.
New Jersey’s Ten Best Hikes on Thursday, February 9 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Come out and hear the best tips and secrets of the ten best hiking locations in the Garden State.
 
New Jersey’s Ten Best Bicycle Rides on Thursday, February 23 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Get your bicycles ready because after this presentation you’ll have no shortage of places to ride.
 
Journey Through Wyoming on Thursday, March 8 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Join professional photographer Michael S. Miller on a photographic journey through Wyoming’s spectacular scenery.  Highlights include images of Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.

With paddling season just around the corner come on out and explore what is the best option for you and your family.  Learn about different boat designs and their functions.
