Shirley Ann Bongiovanni, 78, of Hazlet, passed away peacefully on
Monday, October 19 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. She
was born Shirley Ann Meicke on July 20, 1937 in Hoboken where she
grew up. Before retiring, she worked in the food service industry for Aramarc Corporation.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Louis Bongiovanni;
her parents, George and Mae (Flagherty) Meicke; along with her siblings,
Evelyn, Frances, William, Mildred, Charlotte, Dorry, Jet and
Tom. Shirley is survived by her loving children, Kenneth J. Bongiovanni
of Hazlet, Diane Faust and her husband Eric of Merrimack, N.H., and
Debra Pizzolo and her husband Mark of Hazlet; along with her siblings,
Sue Capoano, George Meicke and his wife Marilyn, James
Meicke and his wife Carole; her dear twin, Liz Bracconeri; and her
cherished grandchildren, Emma, Hayden, Ian and Harrison. She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Shore Point Funeral Home
and Cremation Service, Hazlet. A prayer service followed by entombment
took place on Wednesday, October 21 at Holmdel Mausoleum,
