Bonsai Day at Deep Cut Gardens Sept. 14

MIDDLETOWN – Deep Cut Gardens and the Deep Cut Bonsai Society will present from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, its annual Bonsai Day.
Visitors will experience the intricate and ancient art through demonstrations and displays and get a glimpse as members work on their trees. Experts will be on hand to answer questions.
Held annually on the lawn of the Horticultural Center at Deep Cut Gardens, the demonstrations and lectures, available for free, will be:

  •  At 1 p.m., Bonsai Basics: The Keys to Selecting, Maintaining or Just Appreciating a Bonsai
  • At 3 p.m., From Nursery Plant to Bonsai: Starting Your Own Bonsai
