Benona L. Breedlove, 89, of Holmdel passed away May 23 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. Born in Indianapolis, she lived in Holmdel for many years. She was a parishioner of St. Catharine R.C. Church in Holmdel.
After an early career as a singer on stage and the radio, Mrs. Breedlove was a homemaker. When not busy raising her six children, she loved ceramics, gardening and was an avid reader. Always generous with her time, she also was a great lover of animals and donated to many charitable causes. She enjoyed the times spent with her family and her 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Robert in 1999, by her daughter Stacey in 2016, and by her brother Daniel Kloess.
Surviving are her sons Jeffrey of Colts Beck and Christopher of North Carolina; her daughters Cheryl Promin of Parlin, Susan Pantano of Farmingdale and Robin Brown of North Carolina; her sister Sandy Skinner of Indianapolis; and by her 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A mass of Christian Burial was offered May 31 at St. Catharine R.C. Church, Holmdel. Entombment followed at the Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum.
