Burglary Suspect Arrested in Middletown

MIDDLETOWN – Township police have arrested a Hazlet man after he allegedly burglarized an Alimar Drive residence.
Police took Mackenzie Kileen, 21, 9 Michigan Ave., into custody Thursday after they witnessed him allegedly fleeing the residence, according to det. Lt. Steve Dollinger, a police spokesman.
Police received a call at 1:57 p.m. about a burglary in progress at the Alimar Drive address.
The responding officers saw a male subject fleeing the home, Dollinger said . Police pursued the suspect on foot and then took Kileen into custody.
Kileen was charged with burglary, criminal mischief, theft, obstructing the administration of law and violating a restraining order.
Kileen is being held on $10,000 bail, with no 10 percent option.
