Nilson Realtors’ Rumson Office Top Producing Office in 2012

AH Chamber Selects New Officers and Board, Plans Events for 2013
 
ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS – The Atlantic Highlands Chamber of Commerce has announced its 2013 Board of Directors and Officers.
The officers for 2013 slate are: Chuck Lero of Two River Community Bank as president; Mickey Rast of Weichert Realty as vice president; and Jane Olcott of Better Homes and Garden Realty as treasurer. The board members for 2013 are: Marc Fragale of EMedia Nation; Chris Kousouris of Town and Surf Diner; Bob Sherman of Sherman and Sons Jewelers and Meredith Paltz of Vintage Variety Shop.
This voluntary group will continue to strive in its efforts to enhance the business environment of Atlantic Highlands and the surrounding community.
The Atlantic Highlands Chamber of Commerce has many exciting events planned for 2013, including The Taste of Atlantic Highlands on Sunday, June 2. The event is expected to be an exciting culinary tour of borough and vicinity during which participants can sample a cornucopia of foods at area restaurants and get a chance to visit stores that offer unique wares.
The event, which will be held from noon to 5 p.m., will feature free transportation, provided by The Great American Trolley with stops at all locations on a “hop on – hop off” basis. Tickets will be available at various locations beginning in May.
Also planned is the Classic Car Show to be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 8 and back by popular demand. The show will feature incredible “rides” on First Avenue. A total of $500 in cash prizes will be awarded. There will be something for everyone including free goodie bags, musical entertainment, automotive and local vendors displaying their wares, balloons and face painting for children and surprise character appearances. Registration for car owners will begin at 8:30 a.m. on the day of the event. The rain date will be is June 9. The vent will be free to spectators.
The chamber of commerce will also be sponsoring the Atlantic Highlands Farmer’s Market on First Avenue. It will begin held from noon to 6 p.m. Fridays from May 10 through Sept. 6 in Veteran’s Park, across from Borough Hall. As always, the market will be open in time for Mother’s Day and will offer an assortment of flowers and plants for spring planting. here will be an assortment of produce, herbs, honey, pickles and relishes, ethnic products, baked goods and more. The market was rated one of the three-top farmers markets by Monmouth Health and Life.
