RUMSON – Mary Burke, president and broker of record, Heritage House Sotheby’s International Realty, and Joyce Wopat, branch manager, have announced that the Rumson branch office achieved the highest sold volume for Rumson properties that closed in 2012, according to data from the Monmouth/Ocean County MLS.
Together, the sales agents in the Rumson branch closed just under $69 million in volume for properties within that same town and more than $200 million throughout Monmouth County.

Gorman Joins Resources Real Estate as New Sales Associate

Initiative for Adults with Disabilities
FREEHOLD – The Investors Foundation, which provides supportive funding to nonprofit programs that enrich the communities served by Investors Bank, has announced a $2,500 grant award to The Arc of Monmouth.
Founded in 1949, The Arc of Monmouth has grown into a full-service outreach agency providing healthcare, vocational training, group home programs and other social services for approximately 1,400 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The grant will support an innovative program designed to help artistically talented adults with disabilities pursue employment opportunities that will make use of their creative abilities.
“Participants in the program will have access to professional art education, vocational training and other resources to support their success,” said Thea Strong, director of Employment Services at The Arc of Monmouth.
Working in collaboration with The Barn in Howell Township, The Arc will identify four individuals selected for their artistic ability, and work with them to develop artwork and handcrafted items for sale. The Barn, located on the premises of the Calgo’s Garden nursery and landscaping center, specializes in artisan-made furnishings, jewelry, and other unique gifts.
“We’re extremely grateful to the Investors Foundation, and to all the donors and corporate partners whose generosity makes programs like this possible,” said The Arc of Monmouth Executive Director Mary E. Scott. “Their support enables us to continue the pursuit of our mission to improve the lives of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.”
The Arc of Monmouth is a charitable, nonprofit organization annually serving more than 1,400 individuals with Down Syndrome, autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities at 20 locations throughout the county.
