Small Factory Productions Introduces New Rewards System for Kids
FAIR HAVEN – Small Factory Productions of Fair Haven recently launched its new rewards program to inspire and celebrate creative kids ages 6 and older.
Studio Owner Chris Dudick modeled the program after a college system where students complete credits in classes and workshops to advance from level to level as production assistants (Level 1), directors (Level 2), producers (Level 3) and executive producers (Level 4). Classes include animation, audio engineering, basic tracking recording, cartooning, computer design, create-a-cartoon, creative storytelling/acting, introduction to music production, random improv, script writing, stopmotion, sports talk radio, video game and video production.
Dudick’s goal is to offer his students opportunities to learn different skill sets and to grow as well-rounded artists. He compares his system of levels to karate belts or scout badges for young artists.
Dudick opened Small Factory Productions in 2007. The space is based on a professional television and music production studio and combines traditional art, music and storytelling with cutting edge software.
Interested students can visit the Small Factory Productions studio from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 13 for an open house. A schedule of activities is available on the website.
Bring a donation of art supplies and receive a free Kids Night Out Pass ($25 value). Donations will be presented to the ArtWorks Foundation, which, in partnership with Small Factory, brings creative arts workshops to children in New York City and N.J. hospitals.
Small Factory is located at 560 River Road.
Register for the open house at smallfactory@mysmallfactory.com or call 732-212-1088.
