Emporium’s Sale to Benefit Children with Cancer
RED BANK –The Monmouth Street Emporium’s annual Jewelry Sale, just in time for Mother’s Day, will benefit children with cancer.
The antiques store at 27 Monmouth St. will hold its estate, vintage and new jewelry sale on Saturday, May 4, and Sunday, May 5. A portion of the proceeds that weekend will go to benefit the Ashley Lauren Foundation which continues to offer “hope and help for children with cancer,” through its Making Dreams Come True effort and financial and emotional support.
The sale will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. May 4-5, the weekend before Mother’s Day.
Weichert’s Connors Named Top Associate of 2012
HOLMDEL – Rose Estephan, manager of the Weichert, Realtors Holmdel office, has announced that Thomas “Tom” Connors was named the office’s top associate for his achievements in 2012.

Additionally, Connors earned the NJAR® Circle of Excellence Award at the gold level. The award serves to recognize members who have demonstrated excellence in the field of salesmanship and have achieved a minimum $12 million in sales and 25 units or 90 units. Furthermore, Connors was named to Weichert’s Chairman of the Board Club, where he placed among the most elite associates at the company.
Professionally, he is a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), New Jersey Association of Realtors (NJAR), Monmouth/Ocean County Association of Realtors (MOCAR), New Jersey Multiple Listing Service and Garden State Multiple Listing Service.
Privately, he was a former board member for the March of Dimes from 1996 – 2011, where he was state chair in 2002 and 2003, was a board member of the Brookdale Community College Foundation, the Monmouth County United Way, Lt. Dennis Zilinski II Memorial Fund, Embrace Kids Foundation and the St. Catherine’s Church finance board. Connors is a longtime Holmdel resident and is the married father of three.

Sea Bright Burger ‘Joint’ Moves to New Location
FAIR HAVEN – Kind Burger has announced the relocation of its Sea Bright location to River Road, Fair Haven. The restaurant is scheduled to open at the end of May.
Initially opened in July 2012, Kind Burger, a healthier burger “joint,” had the promise of high foot-traffic on Ocean Avenue in Sea Bright. Unfortunately, the great locale was short-lived. Raging Super Storm Sandy floodwaters inundated the brand new storefront destroying everything in it. Anthony and Yvette Cafaro, the husband and wife owners, were anxious to reopen but forced to relocate further inland and found a new home in the former Le Fandy location.
Kind Burger brings high quality gourmet burgers, dogs and fries with gluten free, dairy free, nut free and worry free options to its guests. The menu includes Black Angus beef burgers, American Kobe beef burgers, turkey burgers, lamb burgers and marinated Portobello mushroom. Kind beef burgers, unless specified organic, are natural. Kind Burger uses 80/20 high quality ground chuck. All burgers are available on a choice of a potato roll, whole-wheat roll, gluten-free roll or lettuce wrap.
“Our burgers are never frozen. The quality beef is cooked on a Keating chrome top griddle, which in our opinion produces a great tasting burger. We also fry in canola oil, therefore able to accommodate customers with peanut allergies,” Anthony Cafaro said.
There is no worry for cross-contamination cooking. Automatic fryers deliver a consistent product. Love fries? Choose between white crinkle cut, and sweet potato fries. Don’t care for a burger, they also offer three types of hot dogs – all-beef Sabrette, organic-turkey dog and Black Angus dog. Also available are Bell & Evans hormone-free, gluten-free chicken tenders. Kind Burger also will also offer organic specials.
