FRESH Personal Training Opens New Facility
FRESH Personal Training has opened a second training facility in the Natural Healthcare Center of Long Branch at 10 West End Court.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to mark the grand  opening of FRESH Personal Training’s new facility in Long Branch. Monmouth U. Professor Appointed President of Bertrand Russell Society
WEST LONG BRANCH – Alan Schwerin, associate professor of philosophy, has been appointed president of the International Bertrand Russell Society.
Founded in 1974, the Bertrand Russell Society seeks to foster a better understanding of the life, work, and writings of the influential English philosopher Bertrand Russell (1872-1970). The society has members in 43 countries.
Schwerin is a graduate of the University of the Wit­watersrand and the University of South Africa. He received his M.A. in the philosophy of science from Rhodes University and his Ph.D. from Rice University. His research interests include investigations of David Hume’s philosophy of mind and Bertrand Russell’s epistemology.
 
Dental Firm Awards Health Care Scholarship to High School Seniors
LINCROFT – Newman Springs Dental Care awarded Karen Kalucki of Holmdel High School and Brittany Snyder of Middletown High School South $500 scholarships for graduating seniors planning a career in health care, including medicine, nursing, dentistry, chiropractic and physical therapy.
Kalucki will be attending the DeSales University in the fall where she will be studying nursing toward her goal of becoming a pediatric registered nurse. In the fall, Synder will be attending the Drexel University where she will be studying physical therapy with the goal of becoming a pediatric physical therapist.
The scholarships were presented by Dr. Mitchel Friedman of Newman Springs Dental Care during the schools’ senior awards assemblies.
Friedman, whose three children attended Holmdel schools, said that Kalucki and Snyder were among “several excellent students who were worthy of the scholarship” but that each “stood out from the candidates.”
