CBA Crew Garners Golds at Mid-Atlantic Junior Championships

WEST WINDSOR – The Christian Brothers Academy (CBA) Colts crew team has continued its successful march toward the national championships with a solid showing at the Mid-Atlantic Junior District Championships.
Four of the six boats that made it to the final day of competition medaled for three golds and a silver.
The next challenge up for the CBA rowing team includes one of the most prestigious races in the country, the Stotesbury Cup Regatta on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia. More than 180 high schools from around the country will participate with almost 1,000 boats competing.
Results for CBA from mid-Atlantic championship are:

  • Men’s lightweight varsity 4, first place with Michael Guadagno, Daniel Weihs, Samuel Henning, Kevin Hayes and coxswain Frederick Magliozzi.
  • Men’s Youth 2nd 4, first place with David Ryan Hutzley, Dylan Adams, John Blakeslee, Thomas Morris and coxswain Cameron Pak.
  • Men’s youth novice 8, first place with Luke Wickham, Collin Seebeck, Jake McGowan, Andrew Farrell, Matt Toppi, Chris Ferrigine, Kirin Bhattacharya, Nick Dietrich and coxswain Alex Mayo.
  • Men’s varsity lightweight 8, second place with Dylan Vassallo, Duncan Hedden, Christopher Mayro, Christopher Largey, Michael Cofone, Peter Durning, William Miksic, Matthew Timo and coxswain Brennan White.
