On June 12,, Lieutenant Colonel Joseph C. Novario became the new Inspector Instructor at the Change of Command Ceremony at the Marine Base in Red Bank.
Lieutenant Colonel Novario is taking over the position that was held by Lieutenant Colonel Charles M. Long.
As stated in the program for the ceremony, the Change of Command Ceremony is a time-honored tradition, which formally restates to the officers and personnel of the command continuity of authority.
It is a formal ritual conducted before the assembled unit. It is a transfer of total responsibility, authority and accountability from one individual to another.
Lieutenant Colonel Novario was presented Change in Command in front of co-workers, friends and his family: his wife Meredith and their children Eli, Henry and Josephine.
