MIDDLETOWN – Up In Smoke On Main Street, a cigar lounge and smoke shop, has opened at 900 Main St. in the Belford section of the township.

Steve DiGiorgio, an avid cigar connoisseur, is the owner.

Up In Smoke On Main Street offers a wide array of domestic and imported cigars at low, medium and high-end price points from Connecticut, the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Mexico, Spain, and France. Inventory is always changing depending on customer requests.

The lounge area features comfortable leather chairs and tables to encourage individuals or groups to relax and enjoy cigars, conversation and a good smoke on the premises. Free Wi-Fi is offered, and four large flat-screen televisions are visible from every seat in the lounge and provide a full schedule of sports programming.

In addition, a mirrored antique cigar clipping and cutting station will help patrons prepare their cigars. Gourmet coffees, teas and bottled water are available and served at the birch and Spanish cedar wood bar. Commuter specials are in effect for early risers rushing to catch the ferry, trains and buses.

The space also is available for hourly rental and special events, private parties and fundraisers; BYOB is permitted. Though there is no gambling for money allowed, a poker table with chips is also available to rent.

In the future, DiGiorgio will also offer memberships, and private lockers in the walk-in humidor will be available.
