Iceboating on the Navesink on Sunday, Jan. 26. By SCOTT LONGFIELD

The cold weather has brought snow and slippery roads and sidewalks but it has also resulted in a Sunday morning of iceboating.

It’s been a few years since the Navesink River has been frozen enough for iceboats but Sunday morning about a dozen took to the harden surface and glided along at fast speeds.

See Two River Times’ photographer Scott Longfield’s photo essay showing the iceboat action in the Friday, Jan. 31 edition.
