TINTON FALLS – A community health fair, sponsored by Kensington Court Assisted Living, was held June 14 at the borough’s municipal building.

Tinton Falls residents were able to gather information supplied by a variety of area vendors during a June 14 health-care fair.

Sandy Zukowski, marketing director said, “The fair really accomplished what we hoped it would. We wanted to make sure that we covered a great deal of information and had professionals available to answer questions on: senior housing, adult day care, rehab stays, completing Medicaid applications and other issues that might be of concern to seniors and their family.”
Additional information was also provided by The Office on Aging, Monmouth Medical Center, National MS Society, Alzheimer’s Association and the American Red Cross.
Borough Administrator Gerry Turning was open to hosting the community health fair in Borough Hall because he saw the benefit it could have for the residents of Tinton Falls and surrounding communities. “It can be very difficult to get answers when you need them and one of the goals of the fair was to make sure, whatever information and guidance was needed, it could be found in one place,” he said.
Along with providing information, attendees were able to get their hearing tested, blood pressure checked, and eyes examined at no charge. They were also treated to chair massages and food samples and entered into drawings for $100 gift cards.
