Count Basie Music Series on Fridays in September

RED BANK – The borough Vision Committee will again be holding its free concerts at the west side pocket park on the first three Fridays in September.
The Count Basie 365 Cultural Series of concerts will feature Valarie Adams and the Dimension Band at 6:45 p.m.on Friday, Sept. 5, at the park, located on the northwest corner of Shrewsbury Avenue and Drs. James Parker Boulevard.
The remaining concerts will feature the Gambone Project on Sept. 12, the Red Bank Public Schools Strings Project followed by Chuck Lambert on Sept. 19.
The Count Basie 365 Cultural Series is in its third year  bringing concerts to the west side park.
Established by the borough’s Vision Committee, chaired by Borough Councilwoman Juanita Lewis, the cultural series is designed to celebrate the musical and cultural legacy of Red Bank’s favorite son music icon Count Basie.
