LINCROFT – The Monmouth County job fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, April 4, at the Brookdale Community College Collins Arena on the campus at 765 Newman Springs Road.
The job fair will provide those looking for employment with access to employers seeking talented candidates in every discipline, including hospitality, health care, finance, education, telecommunications and computer science.
One hundred local employers and employment resource organizations will be participating in the free event. No registration is required for jobseekers.
“In addition to bringing in top employers from throughout the Monmouth County area, we are providing resources for jobseekers to assist them in preparing for their search,” said Freeholder Serena DiMaso, liaison to the county’s Division of Workforce Development.
During the job fair, a panel discussion entitled, “Ask the Recruiters,” will be presented by the Jersey Shore Association for Human Services. Registration is not required for the panel discussion.
In addition, resume professionals will be available for one-on-one resume reviews. A registration table for sign-ups will be available for a 15-minute personal resume review. Job seekers are encouraged to make an appointment upon arrival as the reviews will be done on a first-come, first-served basis.
“The county continues to provide resources and to respond to the needs of its business community,” DiMaso said. “This job fair is one way we are helping residents and the business community during these difficult economic times.”
From CentraState Healthcare System to United Parcel Service (UPS), there will be a variety of employers at the fair to meet nearly every field of employment. A full list of employers will be posted on www.visitmonmouth.com by Thursday, April 3.
The 2014 Monmouth County Job Fair is a partnership of the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders, Monmouth County Workforce Investment Board, Monmouth County Division of Workforce Development, New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Monmouth-Ocean Development Council, Jersey Shore Association of Human Resources and Brookdale Community College.
