Margaret K. Cross, 89, of Red Bank, passed away on Jan. 24 in Shrewsbury.
Margaret was born in Long Branch to Edward and Callista (Power) Cross. She graduated from Red Bank High School and the Chalif School of Dance in New York City. She was a dance teacher and owned the Margaret Cross School of Dance in Lincroft and Freehold.
Margaret was also on the Board of Directors New York Society of Teachers for Dancing. She was a devout Catholic and Parishioner of St. James R.C. Church in Red Bank. She was proud of her Irish heritage and the fact that she lived in Red Bank for over 75 years. Margaret was devoted to her parents and took care of them in their later years.
Margaret is survived by many cousins and friends in New Jersey, New York and Massachusetts.
Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 31 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Feb. 1 at 11:15 a.m. at St. James R.C. Church, 94 Broad St, Red Bank. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Middletown.
