Gloria D’Agostino, 87, of Red Bank, passed away peacefully with her family by her side June 25.

Gloria was born April 14, 1931 in the Bronx. She graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School. After graduation she worked in New York City as a bank teller. In 1953 she married Thomas D’Agostino. They lived in the Bronx until 2004, when they moved to Red Bank. In May of this year, they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.

Gloria spent most of her life raising a family, volunteering at her children’s school and later volunteering at the local hospital. She has won many certificates and awards for her volunteerism.

Gloria was devoted to her children and grandchildren. She loved cooking, entertaining for family and friends and taking her frequent trips to Atlantic City.

Gloria is survived by her husband Thomas D’Agostino; her sister Marilyn Marshall; her three children James, Thomas and his wife Donna, and Jeannine (D’Agostino) Vaccaro and her husband Frank; her five grandchildren Thomas and Shannon D’Agostino and Francesca, Andrew and Juliana Vaccaro; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was loved and adored by all.

Gloria reposed at the Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home, Middletown, June 28. A Mass of Christian Burial took place June 29. Entombment followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
