LINCROFT – Newman Springs Dental Care awarded $500 scholarships to graduating seniors Amanda Hall of Holmdel High School and Kimberly Huey of Middletown Township High School North. Both graduates are planning a career in health care.
Amanda will be attending the University of Rochester in the fall where she will be studying pre-dental and playing soccer. She has plans on doing neuroscience research in the children’s hospital on the university campus.
Kimberly will be attending Brookdale Community College in the fall where she will be studying occupational therapy.
Dr. Mitchel Friedman said Amanda and Kimberly stood out from the many excellent candidates for the scholarship. He noted that his three children are products of the Holmdel school system and that he was a 1976 graduate of the Middletown public school system. Friedman’s mother, Sheila Friedman Rubin, taught in Middletown her entire career.
