Kathleen Marie Doehner, 67, of Naples, Florida, and Tinton Falls, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at home with her family by her side.

Kathy dedicated her life to helping others and to serving God. She was a teacher at St. Leo the Great School in Lincroft where she also served as athletic director for 10 years, instructed Pre-Cana for 25 years and served on the school board. Additionally, she was a trustee at Christian Brothers Academy, a mentor at the Immokalee Foundation, a member of Legatus (a Catholic organization of business leaders), a volunteer for the Fun Time Early Childhood Academy of Naples, Florida, a member of the Christ Child Society and a Eucharistic Minister in St. Leo the Great parishes in both Lincroft and Bonita Springs, Florida.

Kathy touched the lives of everyone she met, including her golf partners at Navesink Country Club (where she was a club champion) and Quail West Country Club, her friends at Chapel Beach Club and The Club at Barefoot Beach, her students, mentees and her church community. Her faith, selflessness and positive energy inspired others and will be remembered by all who knew her.

“Nana” will be forever loved by her husband, sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren, as well as countless friends and relatives and will be remembered as the strength and spirit of the Doehner family.

She was predeceased by her parents, Arthur W. and Marie A. (nee: Dalton) Wolf; and her brother, William Wolf.

Kathy is survived by her beloved husband, George; her loving sons and daughters-in-law, George Jr. and Bobbi of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, John and Jessica of Oceanport, Patrick (PJ) and Kristin of Madison, Robert and Maureen of Middletown and James and Rebecca of New York, New York. Also surviving are her dear grandchildren, Megan, Andrew, Ashley, Blake, Jack, Libby, Meredith, James, Augie, Ginny, Emma, Annie and Charlie as well as her fond siblings, Arthur W. Wolf Jr. and his wife Sharon, Patricia Wagner and her husband Richard and James A. Wolf and his wife Sheila.

Memorial donations may be made to Christian Brothers Academy. Proceeds will fund the Kathleen Doehner Memorial Scholarship to help support a graduate of St Leo the Great School in continuing their Catholic education at CBA, which Kathy valued greatly.
