John R. Egan, 57, of Aberdeen, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, September 3 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel. John was born on June 27, 1959 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was raised in Warminster, Pennsylvania. In 1976, he and his family moved to Toms River, and in 1996, he and his wife, Frances, settled in the Matawan/Aberdeen area. He had a love for hiking and was an avid outdoors man. John was also a partner at Excel Thermal Spray company.
He was predeceased by his father, Ramsey Michael Egan. John is survived by his devoted wife, Frances (Franco) Egan; his beloved mother, Mary (Lanik) Egan Mayer; his loving sisters, Carol Bornstein and her husband Alan of St. Louis, Missouri, Susan Egan of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Janice Egan and her lifelong companion, Jack McGuire, of Chester Springs, Pennsylvania. John is also survived by his cherished nieces and nephew, Claire, Mitchell and Natalie Bornstein; his brother-in-law, Peter Franco and his wife Glenda; and his sisters-in- law, Mary Ellen Thomas and Margaret Graham.
