FAIR HAVEN – The annual Fair Haven Fire Company Firemen’s Fair continues through Saturday, Sept. 3. This year’s fair, said to be the largest firemen’s fair in New Jersey and the second largest fair of any kind in the state, features a Ferris wheel and merry-go-round, in addition to the more thrilling Zipper and Wipeout.
Children have the opportunity to ride on a real fire truck, complete with blaring sirens. Hamburgers, hot dogs to seafood specialties are for sale.
The fair is the main fundraising event for the Fair Haven Fire Department and takes place on the firehouse grounds at 645 River Road.
