“I love Fair Haven!” Indeed, I do. It’s a great community and an uber cool shopping destination. This weekend, the borough is having its Sizzlin’ Spring Sidewalk Sales on Friday and Saturday. Stroll through town and stop at the myriad stores that line River Road. Visit Gem of an Idea to have your jewelry repaired and browse the April sale (Hi Maureen!); find a quirky gift at Nature’s Emporium; get lost in gorgeous home accents at Coastal Decor; and don’t forget the Doc Shoppe, Shutters home accents, Boxwood Gardens florist, Blue Stove Antiques, River Road Books, and treat yourself to some vintage apparel and accessories at All Things Consignment. Even hardcore shoppers like me tire after a long afternoon of hitting the retail pavement. Not to worry: sustenance abounds in the form of wraps, scrumptious sandwiches and baked goods at  Fairwinds Deli and Gourmet Picnic.  Or, if you’re a fellow coffee junkie, try my favorite pick-me-up — a mochachino — at Java Stop (Hi Trudy!). If you have more time, enjoy a leisurely afternoon at Nauvoo Grill Club or grab a bar stool during the early evening for live music. I plan on visiting Susie, the gracious hostess at Raven and the Peach, whom I knew from the former Doris and Ed’s restaurant in Highlands. I’m envisioning sipping a French martini or two amid some potted palms at the Raven. See you around town.
