Debbie O'Donoghue

Little Silver resident Debbie O’Donoghue was recently named chair of the board of directors of Family and Children’s Service (FCS), Monmouth County’s oldest non-profit social service agency, succeeding Dolores Klein whose two-year term expired in December. A 15-year volunteer with FCS, O’Donoghue has served on the agency’s board of directors for more than eight years and has chaired a number of important board committees including the agency’s largest fundraiser, the annual fall gala. Since moving to Little Silver more than 25 years ago, She held a variety of volunteer leadership positions with other nonprofit organizations including the Little Silver Parent Teacher Organization, the Little Silver Women’s Club, the American Ireland Fund of New York City and Chase for Life, where she currently serves on the executive committee. As chair, Debbie seeks to increase community awareness of the agency’s dozen programs and services, from adult protection and home care, to child literacy and homelessness prevention.
The board also added two new members, Susan C. Salkeld of Brielle and Jill Gemmel of Middletown.
