Family Medicine Specialist Joins Riverview, Bayshore Hospital

Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank and Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel have welcomed Jessy Joykutty, M.D. to its medical staffs.

Joykutty specializes in family medicine and stands as a new member of Monmouth County’s primary care community. She is a Maryland native who has been moving up the coast, as she furthers her education and is proud to call New Jersey her new home.
Joykutty graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in biology from Howard University in Washington, D.C., where she also earned her medical degree. She then moved to Philadelphia, Pa., to train in family medicine at Chestnut Hill Hospital. There she earned certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO).
In every city she has lived, Joykutty played an active role in her local community with extensive service experience including: Clinica Esperenza, Roatan, Honduras, medical resident volunteer; Leeds Middle School “Family Fun Night,” Philadelphia, medical adviser for “Ask the Doc” booth; United Community Clinic, Philadelphia, supervising physician; Jeff Hope Clinic, Philadelphia, supervising physician and Hurricane Katrina relief volunteer, Washington, D.C.
Joykutty is also a member of a number of professional organizations such as the American Academy of Family Physician and the American Medical Association. She has received numerous honors such as Honors in Pediatrics, OB/GYN, Family Medicine, Ethics 2004-2005, Capstone Scholarship recipient, Howard University, 2001-2005 and the Homi Bhabhia Award for Outstanding Scholastic Achievement by American Indian Association, 2001.
