Mother, Two Sons Charged in Heroin Bust

MIDDLETOWN – Six people have been arrested on heroin charges, following a search warrant executed by Middletown Police Friday at a Rutledge Drive home. Among them was a mother and her two sons, authorities say.
The house is located in a neighborhood off Apple Farm Road, accessible from Route 35 South.
Police say the bust came at the end of a six month investigation into allegations of the sale of heroin from the residence.
Arrested was homeowner Wendy Hendricks, 61, on charges of unlawful possession of heroin and Xanax pills. She was also charged with maintaining a nuisance. On Friday night she was being held at the Monmouth County jail on $11,000 bail with a 10% option.
Police said they arrested her sons, who also reside on Rutledge Drive. Matthew Hendricks, 32, faces charges of heroin and cocaine possession, possession with the intent to distribute heroin, possession of a hypodermic syringe, possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of a prescription legend drug. His bail was set at $44,000 bail. Taylor Hendricks, 28, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a hypodermic syringe and is being held Friday night on $12,000 bail.
Timothy McGrath, 29, also a resident of Rutledge Drive, was charged with heroin possession, possession with the intent to distribute heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a hypodermic syringe and unlawful possession of a prescription legend drug. He is being held Friday night on $34,000 bail.
Also arrested in the bust was township resident Christopher Hartman, 30, of nearby Fairview Drive. He faces three charges of illegal possession of heroin, a hypodermic syringe and drug paraphernalia. He is being held Friday night on $7,000 bail.
Dana Bostwick, age 34, from Field Avenue in South Plainfield, also faces three charges of illegal possession of heroin, a hypodermic syringe and drug paraphernalia. Her bail was set at $11,000 with a 10% option.
Bail was set by Judge Honora O’Brien-Kilgallen of the Monmouth County Superior Court.
