TINTON FALLS – Manda’s Music Together, Matawan Music Together and Coco Beans Cafe will present a food drive and family music event to benefit Lunch Break and JBJ Soul Kitchen at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 14, at Coco Beans Play Cafe, 70 Apple St.
The event is a singalong story time, presented by Amanda Munice of Manda’s Music Together and Lisa Hearns of Matawan Music Together. Additional sessions may be added.
The 45-minute music and storytelling event is for families with children up to age 6. Reservations can be made at www.mmt-events.com. A suggested donation of $15 per family, along with a nonperishable food item or personal toiletry item, is encouraged.
Monetary donations will go to JBJ Soul Kitchen, a community restaurant in Red Bank. Restaurant patrons either make a monetary donation or do volunteer work in exchange for their meal. JBJ Soul Kitchen is a nonprofit community program run by the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation.
Donated goods will go to Lunch Break of Red Bank, which provides food, clothing and fellowship to community members in need. Its mission is to alleviate hunger and lead those served to self-sufficiency and healthier lifestyles.
“We are so excited about joining our Music Together programs to create a fun family musical event, while at the same time helping raise awareness and resources for two great Red Bank nonprofits that help do so much for people in this community,” Hearns said.
