275

RED BANK – The Salvation Army Corps at 180 Newman Springs Road is seeking donations of food to restock the pantry it operates to help those in need.
The corps is seeking such items as peanut butter, jelly or fruit preserves, canned beans, canned soups, pancake mix and syrup, fruit juices, self-stable milk and Ensure.
Donations can be dropped off at the corps community center on Newman Springs Road any weekday between 9 a.m. and noon and 1 to 4 p.m.
“The demand for our help has been strong,” Capt. John Rogan said. “We are providing assistance to some 50 families in the area we serve.”
“Whatever assistance individuals or groups can provide will be greatly appreciated,” Major Elizabeth Rogan said. “As they have in the past, schools, when classes resume, might want to organize class projects to collect food and churches might want to do the same through their congregations.”
Further information is available by calling the corps center at 732-747-1626.
