Rumson-Fair Haven (5-0, 3-0) is coming off a 34-6 trouncing of Monmouth Regional (0-4, 0-2) and could wrap up at least a share of the A Central division title when it travels to take on Holmdel (1-3, 02) this Friday night.
Red Bank Regional has a bye this week after putting down Raritan 14-7 last time out and is knocking on the door in the A Central with only one divisional loss and a 3-2 record overall.
The game of the week will be played at Count Basie Field where Red Bank Catholic (4-0, 3-0) will host Colts Neck (3-2, 3-0) for sole possession of first place in the B North division.
The Caseys come into Friday night’s game having shut out Freehold 45-0 last week while Colts Neck is looking to rebound from a 35-28 loss to Toms River North.
The resurgent Eagles of Middletown South are coming off a bye week to face a tough Brick team that beat up on Toms River South last week, 42-0. The Eagles are 2-2 on the year and 2-1 in division play and are looking to keep their title hopes alive in the A North.
Across town, the Middletown North Lions (2-3, 2-1) get a reprieve with a bye this weekend after stunning Howell 21-13 and leapfrogging into third place in the A North while Howell drops to 2-2 in the division.
Shore (2-2, 2-1) travels to South River on Saturday in desperate need of a win after having dropped two in a row, most recently a 21-7 loss to Manasquan.
Two weeks ago Shore fell 14-13 at home to division rival Asbury Park (5-0, 4-0), which has already locked up a share of the B Central title.
