Kathleen D. Forlenza, 54, of Hazlet, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, May 12 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel. She was born Kathleen D. Bolton on May 23, 1961 in Brooklyn, New York, and was raised in Staten Island, New York, where she lived for the majority of her life. On December 1, 1991, Kathleen and her husband, Gennaro, also known as Jerry, were married and began their life together. In 2006, they settled in Hazlet. While living in Hazlet, Kathleen worked for Barnes and Noble book store in Holmdel.
She was predeceased by her mother, Sebastiana Cavalieri; and her father-in-law, Gennaro J. Forlenza Sr. Kathleen is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 25 years, Gennaro “Jerry” J. Forlenza Jr.; her dear siblings, Laurie Occhiogrosso and her husband Anthony of Hazlet
and James Bolton and his wife Elizabeth of Staten Island, New York; her adoring mother-in-law, Noreen Forlenza; her sister-in-law, Mary Ann Colomara; and her cherished nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Colomara, Christine Colomara, Christopher Occhiogrosso and Nicholas Occhiogrosso.
