To our readers,
Our mission is clear. We want to be your source of local information both with our newspaper and our website at tworivertimes.com. We want to report the news of local interest in every area of interest in your lives.
That includes news about local activities, government, businesses, the arts community, and the organizations that are doing so much good for this community and, of course, the sports community.
We should be very proud this week of Red Bank Catholic, Rumson Fair Haven Regional and Shore Regional football teams for being the champions they are and proved over the weekend. What a wonderful statement to the commitment of young athletes and students who set an example for us all.
We want to work that hard at reporting the news that will delight and entertain you.
Sometimes, however, it’s not always good news but as a citizen, you need to know what’s really going on in your communities.
But, we’re looking for the positive. We want to be solution oriented and do what we can to be the advocate for our readers.
We’re interested to hear your ideas, suggestions and what you want to see in your paper and website. And we very much want to hear your thoughts about how to improve the community that makes up the Two River area.
After receiving those thoughts, we’ll find ways to make those good things happen with your help.
The Two River Times wants to engage our readership and ask you to send us your thoughts by email to jcalendar@tworivertimes or by calling us at 732-219-5788.
I will be happy to come to your organization, your condominium association, your nonprofit, your firehouse or police station, your historical society, your clubs, and most importantly, your schools to answer questions and listen to your thoughts about making this area an even better place to live. Not only listen, but also really hear and act on the ones we can.
Invite me and I will come.
In January we will be coordinating the best way to conduct focus groups to delve even further into what we should be at we at The Two River Times.
Newspapers have a long tradition of being part of the community and that’s the essence of The Two River Times. We’re here for you.
I know the ownership of this newspaper and website are committed to that tradition. Newspapers are not disappearing. We’re getting better and this newspaper and website will continue to improve with your input.
Write to us. Call us. Email us. Most importantly, engage with us so together we can go hand in hand and focus on what’s good, improve what’s not and think of ideas yet to happen.
Thanks for listening to me.
