Ellenrose Huhn, 88, of Tinton Falls, peacefully passed away with her loving
friends and family by her side. Ellen was born in Detroit, Michigan to
Harold and Helen Billings. She and her family later moved to California
where she met Walter L. Huhn. The two were married on January 27, 1946,
and soon relocated to New Jersey. They enjoyed 61 years together before Wally’s passing in 2007.
Ellen owned her own ceramics studio where she taught the craft for 50
years. She was also an active member of the Presbyterian Church at
Shrewsbury. Ellen especially enjoyed her role in the church as moderator
of the Mission Bells. She loved life to the fullest, appreciating every
moment with her friends and her animals. Her personality was always
upbeat and positive. Ellen touched many lives and will be truly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 10 at 11 a.m. at
the Presbyterian Church at Shrewsbury, 352 Sycamore Avenue,
Shrewsbury. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Presbyterian Church at
Shrewsbury will be greatly appreciated. The Thompson Memorial Home,
