RUMSON – When Frank Sinatra’s “It Was a Very Good Year” plays on the car stereo, the irony is not lost on Mario Venancio, a sales associate with the Rumson office of Gloria Nilson, REALTORS®, Real Living, and the company’s top producing agent. Despite the challenging real estate climate, Venancio is poised to close out the best year of his nearly 20-year real estate career. He’s closed approximately $42 million in transactions for 2011 thus far, and is on track to close more than $50 million in transactions by year end.
Clearly, it’s been very good year.
“Mario is simply the most dedicated real estate professional I’ve ever met,” notes Pat Bell, president of Gloria Nilson. “He’s well-respected by his peers and clients, and is tenacious in his efforts to network and build his brand and the brand of Gloria Nilson. We are all extremely proud of his hard work.”
Venancio has been a consistent multi-million dollar producer since the early 1990s, one of the top producers in New Jersey for the last five years, and is ranked as the number one real estate agent in Monmouth County, as well as with Gloria Nilson, by sales volume for 2011. From 2000 to 2010, he was responsible for closing more than $265 million real estate sales, and will exceed $300 million in total sales by the close of 2011.
“This achievement wasn’t built purely with large transactions,” says Venancio. “Because our office is in Rumson, people might be tempted to think a few multi-million dollar sales helped build this level of sales volume while, in fact, I’ve handled a broad range of home sales throughout Monmouth County.”
According to Venancio, as of early October, 48 transactions for the year helped him set the high water mark of nearly $42 million in sales volume among his associates at Gloria Nilson – with his smallest transaction being a condominium for $145,000. An additional 11 homes – thus far – are scheduled to close before Dec. 31, 2011.
A lifelong resident of Monmouth County and a graduate of the University of Delaware, Venancio says appreciating that he serves as a trusted financial advisor helping to manage what is, in most cases, his client’s largest asset makes a significant difference in his business.
“It’s about building a relationship of trust, and honoring that trust by doing everything possible to protect and advance your client’s interest,” notes Venancio. “That’s how I’ve built my reputation, gained referrals and grown my sales volume year after year.”
