Gratitude for the New West Front Street Bridge

For years, Red Bank has proven itself to be one of Monmouth County’s most prized communities. A hub for tourism, the arts, shopping and cuisine. it is no wonder that the borough of Red Bank is bustling almost every night of the week.
But those of us who know and love Red Bank also know that getting in and out at certain times of day can be nightmarish with frequent traffic jams. However, thanks to our County Freeholders Tom Arnone and Serena DiMaso, navigating to one of our favorite destinations has just gotten much easier.
Recently, the brand new West Front Street bridge was finally completed. The new bridge is a much needed improvement, as the old bridge connecting Red Bank and Middletown was structurally deficient and frequently caused massive traffic backups. Now, thanks to your county freeholders, this new bridge has been built at no additional cost tot he taxpayer.
You read that correctly. Freeholders Arnone and DiMaso, with the help of legislators like Senator Joe Kyrillos, secured $21 million dollars of federal funding for this project. Arnone and DiMaso relieved the burden on Monmouth County taxpayers by securing federal funds to make this new bridge possible.
Not only will this new bridge considerably reduce traffic jams in and out of Red Bank, but it is also pedestrian friendly, providing six-foot wide sidewalks on both sides. In a place like Red Bank with limited parking and lots of foot traffic, this new pedestrian friendly bridge is a welcome relief to residents and visitors of Red Bank and Middletown alike.
Our Freeholders have made great strides to improve our communities, all while reducing county property taxes on Monmouth county residents. Red Bank, a true gem of Monmouth County, is now safer and more accessible thanks to Freeholders Arnone and DiMaso.
