FREEHOLD – The Greater Monmouth Chamber of Commerce (GMCC) and event sponsor, Gellman Images, are holding their first GMCC Mini-Golf Tournament.
The event will be held from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the SwingTime Family Fun Center in Howell.
The idea for the event came from a request for more fun and community-orientated networking events.
“A lot of our members, who are a part of the local business community, were asking us for more networking opportunities that were fun, family-friendly, and encouraged team building. This mini-golf event encompasses all of that. We have had a great response thus far,” said Samantha Homer Padilla, GMCC executive director.
The tournament will allow companies and individuals to create mini-golf teams. The top three individual players, who are members of the chamber, will receive prizes.
The fun does not stop with mini-golf. Attendees may participate in lawn games, face painting, access the onsite arcade, and enjoy dinner and ice cream sundaes.
Ticket pricing starts at $25 for adults and $10 for children.
As the event sponsor and longtime member of GMCC, Gellman Images will be celebrating its 25th anniversary at the event. In addition, the recently opened Jersey Mike’s Subs of Freehold will be making its introduction to the community as the event’s official dinner sponsor. Lawn games and other activities are being provided by entertainment sponsors, New Jersey Natural Gas, Monmouth Medical Center, and OceanFirst Bank.
