Peter R. Grosso, 80, of Middletown, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, May 6 at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune. Peter was born on May 16, 1935 in Jersey City, where he grew up. On February 10, 1962, he and his wife, Rose Marie, were married and began their life together. In 1977, they relocated to Iselin, and in 1997, they retired to Brick and also Florida. Ultimately in 2011, Peter settled in Middletown.
Throughout his life, Peter worked as a warehouse manager for Jaeger Lumber; he was currently retired. He was also a proud United States Air Force veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict.
He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Jennifer (Esposito) LaBruno; his beloved wife, Rose Marie (DeLuca) Grosso; and his dear sister, Bernadette Wenz. Peter is survived by his loving daughters, Ann Marie Gattoni and her husband, James, of Jacksonville, Florida, and Linda Malanowski and her husband, David, of Middletown; his dear siblings, Anthony Grosso of Freehold and Maryann Lord and her husband, Robert, of Sussex; and his cherished grandchildren, Timothy Gattoni, Danielle Gattoni, Christine Gattoni, Richard Malanowski and Nicholas Malanowski.
