Rosemarie E. Hansen, 90, of Keansburg, passed away peace- fully surrounded by her loving family on September 5 at Bay- shore Community Hospital in Holmdel.
She was born Rosemarie Fudge on May 15, 1925 in Ontario, Canada, where she grew up. Later in life Rosemarie moved to the United States. On October 18, 1958, she and her husband, Mogens, were married and began their life together. They raised their family in Aberdeen and after retirement, relocated to Ormond Beach, Fla. In 2010, they returned to New Jersey. For many years, Rosemarie worked as a receptionist for Bell Labs in Holmdel.
She was predeceased by her parents, William and Mary (O’Connor) Fudge; her beloved husband, Mogens “Moe” Hansen; and her sister, Veronica McCarthy.
Rosemarie is survived by her loving children, William Hansen of Jackson, Anne T. Paul and her husband Wendell of Howell, Stephen Hansen and his wife Lori of Manalapan, Michelle Hansen of Aberdeen and Heidi Hansen of Belford. She is also survived by her dear sisters, Bernice MacIntyre of Nova Scotia and Joan Mintz of Florida; her cherished grandchildren, Danielle Murphy, Tyler Hansen, Courtney Hansen, Maegan Hansen, Chelsea Murphy, Ryan Paul, Alexandra Hansen, Alexis Murphy, Dylan Paul, Samantha Hansen, Kelly Hansen, Raven Whalen, Stephen Hansen, Delaney Whalen and Kayla Whalen; and her adored great-grandchildren, Dawson and Carson Hansen, Danica Ferrazano and Ava Gallagher. She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
In respect of Rosemarie’s wishes, she was privately cremated. A memorial visitation was held on Friday, September 11 at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Hazlet. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Saturday, September 12 at the Catholic Church of St. Ann, Keansburg.
