'Harlem in the 1920s' Program At Library

In celebration of Black History Month, Dr. Lawrence Hogan will speak on Age of the New Negro: Harlem in the 1920s at 2 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 12 at the Eastern Branch Library, 1001 Route 35.
Hogan is senior professor of history at Union County College, with a Ph.D. in American and African-American history from Indiana University. His presentation will focus on the great literary, journalistic, political and sports figures (including Langston Hughes and Paul Robeson) and institutions that comprise what historians refer to as the Harlem Renaissance.
