Edward Francis Harmon, 48, passed away at home in Little Silver, New Jersey on Sunday, December 4, 2016. Ed attended Little Silver Grade Schools then graduated from Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft, NJ and was a graduate of New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Ed was a mechanical engineer at I2WD Fort Monmouth. Ed was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Fair Haven Council and a communicant of Church of the Nativity, Fair Haven and Our Lady of Fatima Chapel in Pequannock. He loved spending time with his parrot Connie and always went out of his way to help others. He was an avid reader and enjoyed classical big-band music.

Ed was born in Red Bank on September 16, 1968 to the late Edward George Harmon and Virginia (Hoag) Harmon. He is survived by his mother, Virginia; his former spouse, Janice Halpern; and six cousins: John W. Suiter, Theresa Feehery, Anne Evans, Virginia Goldovich, Mary Anne Hoag-Nunan and Thomas F. Hoag.

Visitation will be held at Church of the Nativity, 180 Ridge Road, Fair Haven on Friday, December 9 from 9 to 11 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at Church of Nativity, Fair Haven, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Ed’s name to the Priests for Life, P.O.
