'Hiring A Veteran' Topic Of HR Meeting

The Feb. 16 meeting of Jersey Shore Association for Human Resources will focus on tips for effectively recruiting, hiring and retaining military veterans, including workplace strategies for employing military spouses and engaging their families. Learn the top ten reasons to hire veterans, keep reservists, and take advantage of tax incentives, among other information.
Sherrill Curtis, who specializes in strategic human resource and business management solutions, will present “Shifting from Advocate to HR Strategy Architect,” a mini-workshop that outlines strategies for using military talent.
Curtis is the principal and creative director of her consultancy practice and is creating and producing a series of online awareness and learning tools for human resource professionals to connect with, support and engage military connected talent in the workplace.
The meeting takes place 8 – 10 a.m. at Jumping Brook Country Club, 210 Jumping Brook Road, Neptune.
