FAIR HAVEN – The Knights of Columbus Red Bank Council #3187 will be holding its annual corned beef and cabbage dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 15 at the Knights Hall, 200 Fair Haven Road.
This is one of the Knights’ major fundraisers for the year and a great opportunity for the community to enjoy a great traditional Irish meal in a family-oriented setting. Dinner will include corned beef and cabbage, bread, cake, refreshments, chicken fingers and fries for the kids. A cash bar will be available and live music will be performed.
The cost is $20 for adults, $35 for couples; $15 for seniors and children under 12 ar $10.
“We use the funds generated from annual events like this to support local and national charities that are in desperate need of financial support,” said the council’s Past Grand Knight Bryan Holsey, who is chairman of this year’s event.
Grand Knight Miles Svikhart said, “The parish communities have always supported us tremendously at events like this. People understand that charity is one of the core principles of the Knights of Columbus and they are excited to help us meet our goals and help others. Last year alone, the Knights raised and donated more than $158 million to charitable needs and projects, and we’re proud to be a part of that.”
