Karol, Richard Age: 51, Hazlet

429

Richard Karol, 51, of Hazlet, passed peacefully during the
night in his home on September 24. Raised in Old Bridge, he
grew up loving rock music, muscle cars and making great
memories with his childhood friends and family.
Early in his life, he met and married his wife, Sharon, and
shared a beautiful life with their three beloved daughters. A
self-employed, licensed electrician, he supported his family
with his own business, RK Electric, for 25 years.
Richard was a truly selfless man. He dedicated his life to
putting others first. Whether he was offering advice, cooking
a meal, or debating politics, Rich would have you laughing for
hours. Although Rich enjoyed many pastimes, like fresh coffee,
fishing, and taking care of his house, his greatest love was
always his family.
A wonderful, generous man, he will be missed by his friends, family, grandchildren, and
loyal dog, in which he left memories forever.
Remembered by his wife of 31 years, Sharon Karol; his daughter, Sherri Karol, son-in-law,
Jon Maldanado, and grandchildren, Caitlin “Magee,” Gabe and Abigail; his daughter, Danielle
Karol, son-in-law, George Slater, and grandsons, Cade, Ethan and Fyn; his “last born baby,”
Allison Karol; his mother, Nancy Karol; his brother, Edward Karol; his niece, Alyssa Karol; and
his loyal dog, Butcus.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 27 at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.
