Steven Kologi, 42, Long Branch, was tragically killed on Dec. 31, 2017 while celebrating New Year’s Eve with his family. Steve’s wife, Linda, his daughter, Brittany, and longtime family friend, Mary Ann Schulz, also passed away.
Steve was a lifelong resident of Long Branch. He was a truck driver for Clayton Concrete, Lakewood. A true sports enthusiast, Steve played softball in several leagues. He enjoyed bodybuilding and skiing and was an excellent pool player.
A devoted father, family was most important to Steve. He was very charismatic and was liked by everyone he met.
Surviving Steve is his father, Adrian Kologi; his mother, Carole Kologi-Zawacki; and his sons, Jonathon Ruiz, Steven Kologi and Scott Kologi.
Visitation was Jan. 7 at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Jan. 8 at St. Michael’s RC Church.
