Leona Kotinsley, 74, of Aberdeen, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, July 2 at Bayshore Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Holmdel. Leona was born on August 30, 1941 in Jersey City, where she also grew up. In 1988, she settled in Aberdeen, where she presently resided.
Before retirement, Leona worked for the telephone company, Bell Labs, in Newark.
She was predeceased by her parents, Leo and Ruth (Eichhorn) Kotinsley; and her brother-in-law, Danny Somers. Leona is survived by her loving siblings, Ruth Somers of Hazlet, Robert Kotinsley of North Arlington, Linda Robinson and her husband Robert of Hazlet, and Richard Kotinsley of North Arlington; along with her cherished nieces and nephews, Robyn Somers, Jill Polilli, Christine Kotinsley, Michael Robinson, Kim Kotinsley and Kelly Robinson.
Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Hazlet, is in charge of arrangements. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, July 16 at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 727 Highway 36, Union Beach.
