Landscapes and Dogs from The Last Frontier Exhibits at Library

SHREWSBURY – Photographs by Kim Levin of the dramatic Alaskan landscape and the people and dogs who call Alaska home will be on display at the Eastern Branch throughout the month of November.
Levin, a photographer who specializes in pet portraiture, took the images on a recent “once in a lifetime” trip to Alaska. She focused many of the photographs on what she calls the state treasure of Alaska – the huskies that run the grueling 1,049- mile Iditarod race every winter.
In addition to her exhibit, Levin will be on hand at a reception at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13.  The library is located at 1001 Route 35, and the exhibit is open daily through November during regular library hours.
A passionate advocate of animal adoption, Levin has been donating her photography services and supporting the MCSPCA, The ASPCA, and local rescue organizations for many years.
Levin lives in Little Silver with her husband, son, daughter and their adopted dog Reilly.
