Pasquale J. Lastella, 87, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving children on October 3.
Pasquale was born to Mary and Frank Lastella on April 23, 1928 in Brooklyn, N.Y. He attended White Plains High School, New York. He
served in the US Armed Forces in Germany from 1950 to 1952 . He married and remained a resident of Holmdel for most of his life, where
he lived with his wife Esther and their three children. Together, they owned Raritan Italian Kitchen in Hazlet and Lastella’s in Matawan. Pasquale was a past
member of the Holmdel Kiwanis Club. Pasquale was predeceased by his wife, Esther. He is survived by his son, Patrick Lastella; two daughters, Mary Ellen and Jeannie Lastella; a sister, Rose Purrazella; a brother, Mario Lastella; and his grandchildren, Danille and Kayla Lastella and Gina Teschke.
Visiation was held on Tuesday, October 6 at The Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Wednesday,
October 7 at St. James Church, Red Bank. Interment followed in Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
