Funeral for Sen. Lautenberg to Begin at 11:30 a.m. in New York

The funeral service for U.S. Sen. Frank Lautenberg, D-N.J., is to begin at 11:30 a.m. at Park Avenue Synagogue on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.
The speakers at the funeral include Rabbi Elliot Cosgrove of Park Avenue Synagogue and Rabbi Dan Cohen of Sharey Tefilo-Israel in South Orange. Also scheduled to speak are: Sen. Robert Menendez, D-N.J., the senator’s daughters Ellen Lautenberg, Nan Lautenberg Morgart and Lisa Lautenberg Birer; and his son, Josh Lautenberg; and his grandchildren.They will be followed by music from  Broadway star by Brian Stokes Mitchell. The next speakers will be former Secretary of State Hillary Rodhman Clinton, Danielle Englebardt, Lara Englebardt Metz, Vice President Joseph Biden, and Lautenberg’s widow, Bonnie Englebardt Lautenberg.
Honorary pall bearers number 28, including 17 senators, all Democrats except for Richard Shelby and Marco Rubio, and former Governor and Senator Jon Corzine.
After the service, Lautenberg’s casket will be transported to the railroad station in Secaucus that bears his name. There the casket will be placed on an Amtrak train and taken to Washington, D.C., where the casket will lie in repose on Thursday in the U.S. Senate Chamber in the U.S. Capitol. Lautenberg will be buried on Friday morning at Arlington National Cemetery.
